OBGYN Insitu Simulation - 4/7/2026

Physicians will learn how to manage emergency cases through interdisciplinary obstetric simulation exercises. This fulfills the need to ensure that our physicians stay current with their management of these obstetric emergencies. Furthermore, The Joint Commission has identified rare cases, specifically hypertensive emergency/eclampsia, and obstetric hemorrhage as requiring yearly simulation training for each obstetric unit. Additionally, learners need exposure through simulation to rare medical and obstetric emergencies such as maternal code, eclampsia, anaphylaxis, and shoulder dystocia cases. These cases tend to happen too infrequently to be taught through exposure to real patient scenarios. We have been providing this education to our residents for well over a decade through obstetric simulation.

Lehigh Valley Health Network is accredited by the Pennsylvania Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds, minus a $10 administrative fee, will be granted up to one week prior to the registration deadline. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].
