This nursing professional development continuing educational activity is based on (legacy) LVHNs six-part Nursing Professional Practice Model. The model has a six-part framework, including Person-Centered Care, Practice, Environment, Professional Development, Leadership, and Research. Each part of the model has a dedicated workshop (a six-part series) to focus on each area of the framework. This educational activity is in place to expand upon the Registered Nurses foundation knowledge in professional development and provide dedicated time to explore, grow, and develop within the nursing profession.

1. Explain the importance of putting people first.
2. Describe how Clinical Informatics impacts nursing practice.
3. Identify your why or purpose in professional nursing?
4. Discuss how effective feedback impacts the preceptor preceptee relationship. Develop communication strategies to use in the preceptor preceptee relationship.
5. List two benefits of having a virtual nurse on the care team.
6. Reflect on and discuss your strengths, opportunities, and aspirations from the learning and awareness from todays workshop and how this will translate into growth.

Lehigh Valley Health Network is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Completion Criteria: Registered Nurses attending the entire program will receive 4.0 Contact Hour(s).
