ANCC Nursing Continuing Professional Development (4.00 hours)

This nursing professional development continuing educational activity is based on (legacy) LVHNs six-part Nursing Professional Practice Model. The model has a six-part framework, including Person-Centered Care, Practice, Environment, Professional Development, Leadership, and Research. Each part of the model has a dedicated workshop (a six-part series) to focus on each area of the framework. This educational activity is in place to expand upon the Registered Nurses foundation knowledge in professional development (after graduating from LVHN's Nurse Residency program) and provide dedicated time to explore, grow, and develop within the nursing profession.

1. Summarize the importance of situational awareness. List two ways to practice situational awareness.
2. Explore the opportunities offered by the Lehigh Valley Region's Young Professionals Group
3. Discuss the meaning of Psychological Safety.
4. Describe the importance of Relationship Centered Communication.
5. Describe the impact of our workplace environments.
6. Reflect on and discuss your strengths, opportunities, and aspirations from the learning and awareness from todays workshop and how this will translate into growth.

Lehigh Valley Health Network is accredited by the Pennsylvania Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
