This educational activity focuses on the unique needs of the older adult and the adolescent/young adult (AYA) with cancer as vulnerable populations. It explores cancers that are common to each of these age groups and the effects that diagnosis & treatment can produce. It explores the role of the oncology nurse in meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of the older adult or AYA patient with cancer.

The goals of these presentations are to build upon the base knowledge of these Master’s Level Therapists/Social Workers and increase their understanding of interventions/strategies used within behavioral health. Topics will vary throughout the year.
