Nursing Grand Rounds provides a forum for nurses to share clinical expertise and experiences, nursing best practices and other topics of interest that help improve patient outcomes and enhance the patient experience. The offering aims at promoting evidence-based practice by offering an effective strategy to positively change patient care.

Grand Rounds focused on topics to benefit the full variety of Providers in the OHNS division.

This activity focuses on providing clinicians with current practices to improve on diagnostic and treatment as well as knowledge on newer medications.

The education activity will be a lecture-based talk by an invited speaker who is an expert in the topic, providing an update on diagnosis and clinical management, based on the available research.

The goal of this activity is to improve neurologic diagnostic and management strategies for health care professionals.  Topics vary throughout the year.

This activity will provide clinicians with relevant topics to their practice consisting of current evidence-based research and data, new emerging fields in medicine, and national trends, including but not limited to, health care reform, quality, patient safety and risk management, among other topic areas to strive towards increased patient outcomes. Participants need continued competence and performance with the IOM, ACGME, and ABMS Competencies, as part of their professional development.

The interactive lecture series allows for the presentation of recent healthcare topics by a member of the healthcare community, which engages the learners to deepen their knowledge on a current and relevant topic. The Department of Psychiatry Grand Rounds presentations will focus on various topics of interest gleaned from participant feedback taken from the annual departmental Educational Needs Survey or other areas of need if presented during the year.
