Innovations in Education is an educational activity that provides interdisciplinary education focusing on providing new and innovative information on education delivery methods and learner engagement. Topics include Artificial Intelligence, Accessibility in Education, Simulation, Cadaveric Education, Art Therapy, and Professional Development Coaching.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Describe the current landscape of generative AI and its practical relevance to healthcare education, including applications in curriculum development, instructional delivery, and learner assessment.
  2. Identify strategies for integrating AI tools into educational workflows to enhance teaching effectiveness, streamline feedback, and improve efficiency.
  3. Evaluate the reliability and limitations of AI detection tools and explore alternative approaches to assessment design in an AI enabled environment.
  4. Discuss ethical considerations including bias, privacy, academic integrity, and responsible use related to the adoption of AI in healthcare education settings.
  5. Apply foundational prompting best practices including providing context, specificity, role assignment, and iterative refinement to generate useful and relevant outputs from an AI chatbot.

Accreditation

Lehigh Valley Health Network is accredited by the Pennsylvania Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  Lehigh Valley Health Network designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Exhibitor Displays

  • Lehigh Valley Health Network permits vendors to display exhibits in an area separate from the meeting/education room. Vendor space consists of one 5-foot table. Due to limited space, vendors are allowed a maximum of two attendees at each program. Table covering, extension cords and all other incidentals are the vendor’s responsibility. As space is limited, advanced reservation is required, and no walk-ins are permitted.

  • Payment must be made prior to the event by credit card using our website. No refunds are given unless the event is cancelled by LVHN.

  • Exhibits may only contain information pertaining to the topic(s) being discussed at the above-mentioned program. Pharmaceutical material/information may be displayed provided the medications are contained in the hospital’s formulary. All exhibit information (display, brochures, giveaways, etc.) must be reviewed by the LVHN Pharmacy no later than three (3) weeks prior to the program date for approval. 

  • As a representative of the identified company, I/We agree to uphold the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Standard for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education
