The Jefferson Health Nurse Leader Development Program is a specialized initiative designed to equip new nurse leaders with strategic foresight, systems thinking, and innovative mindsets. It focuses on empowering nurse leaders to tackle complex workforce challenges, promote a unified leadership culture, and drive transformative healthcare change across the health system.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Apply leadership principles to foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and high reliability within nursing teams.
  2. Demonstrate effective communication and coaching skills to improve staff engagement, collaboration, and performance.
  3. Analyze patient and workforce experience data (e.g., Press Ganey metrics) to identify trends and implement targeted improvement strategies.
  4. Develop and lead evidencebased change initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, safety, and staff satisfaction.
  5. Strengthen emotional intelligence and resilience to effectively lead in complex, highstress healthcare environments.
  6. Utilize performance improvement frameworks to drive measurable improvements in patient experience and clinical quality outcomes.

Accreditation

Lehigh Valley Health Network is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Completion Criteria: Registered Nurses attending the entire program will receive 6 Contact Hour(s).
